It’s confirmed! I’ll be doing a 1 day workshop on Red5 with Paul Gregoire at the Flash on Tap conference. Why am I excited? I’ve been itching to speak at a conference for the past year. I keep attending and watching everyone else and Chris finally gave me a chance to get up and demo some new Red5 technologies at FITC toronto in April. I got some positive feedback and now I’ve just waiting for my chance to really get out there and make some noise. Of course, many of you who read my blog already know that I work a lot on open source, but when it comes to knowing Red5, Java, Flex and real-time development, I’ve been on that scene since the beginning days of Flash Comm 1.5! At Infrared5, I get to work with companies all over the world and help them understand the technology. So now’s my chance to work with some of you who attend our Red5 workshop. We’re still working out the schedule for the day, but I’ll be sure to impress you and get you up to speed with some of the more advanced features that Red5 has to offer, and with Paul Gregoire by my side, we’ll have double the amount of Red5 energy in the building. Paul and myself are core engineers of the Red5 project. While your at the conference, you can meet some of the other Red5 guys as well, like David Foley, Chris Allen and John Grden. Maybe Thijs will attend, not sure! So, I hope to post more about the workshop soon and see you there!
